I would like to know how durable is dura coat? How does it wear and does it chip easy? What other finishes are good? Thank you in advance. Joe
I've heard good things and have seen these guys work in person. Neat stuff!!

I've done a bunch of my stocks, and the metalwork of one rifle in Duracoat. It doesn't seem to chip at all. I'd says it's at least as durable as the factory finishes...and more so than most.

On the metalwork, it gave a much nicer finish than standard to the LTR that I did. The original parkerised bolt was being polished by wear, but the Duracoat is actually lasting quite well in this area.

Must get organsised, and do the other LTR.

It won't chip, if applied properly. It will rub off eventually, and is really good at surviving impacts (like falls while holding the rifle).

Overall, it is probably not quite as durable as something like Cerakote, Though they both have their strong suits.

It is miles and miles ahead of older style teflon finishes.
