Working on a better (for my needs) log book for firearms in & out. I'd like to have one book for firearms bought and sold, and one book for firearms in for gunsmithing. Is this BATF compliant?
They told me one book for personal, one for every thing else.

You should call your local ATF for there wants, and document the conversation....

Good luck....

That's the way I've done it - one book for acquisitions/dispositions and one for firearms in/out for repairs..

Redneck and I agree on this. I was told at a recent compliance check that was the way to do it.

You can get both books from Brownell's.

Thanks all. Makes sense to me as the smithing dosn't involve other ffl's or background checks.
I'm using Brownell's "repair log" for gunsmithing and "record of receipt & disposition bound book" for A&D's.
