Any suggestions for new barrel for a 700 BDL 6mm Remington. Gun is going to be varmint/deer.

Shilen SS #3 back to 6mm Rem. Here is mine on a LH 700 BDL Action.

I really like the 24" CDL-SF barrel contour. Since I have a 700 parts gun with a 24" CDL-SF 243 barrel, I'm not likely to build a 6mm in the same configuration, but if I didn't have the 243 barrel and a 6mm was available for a fair price, I'd be tempted.

The 24" CDL-SF barrel is probably a lighter contour than I'd want on a dedicated pdog rifle, but for a walking varminter and a medium game rifle, I would be hard to beat in open country. 24" might be a little too long for hunting in tight cover, but maybe not. Barrel length is such a personal thing!
