I recently purchased a fairly new product that has proven effective in cleaning out rifle barrels, removing copper and fouling and that deposits a hard Nano 6 micron ceramic coating on the barrels insides which ends fouling and reduces friction so much that it enhances velocity significantly.

To "prove" this product to my satisfaction I'm looking at/for a rifle bore scope. Lyman apparently just came out with a new one that sells for $299. Midway has it for $279. I found it on the internet for $259.

As I searched around I found a rather astonishing number of other bore scopes ranging all over the ball park a lot more expensive that Lyman - some $700 on up over $2,000.

Any recommendations on a bore scope ?

Is anyone familiar with the Lyman ?

No I don't but I have to say that's one hell of an endorsement you just made.

Did you read the reviews on the MidwayUSA web page? Brownells has them on their website for $259.99, but lists them as a pre-order item. Buy one and let us know how it works for you.

Is that like a lifetime motor oil additive?

You all can check out the on going battle about Mr. Tibbe and his "Snake oil" in the basement section. Look for Cermalube.
