Curious if anyone has done a build on tikka action with proof carbon fiber barrel

I looked into it. They recommended I go to Eric at ES tactical. The front of the action needs modified to work with their shank. If you get deep into it, shoot me a PM and I'll forward you the email.

Tarheelpwr, I appreciate it. I need to see if it's that much of a pain, you don't have someone practice with a proof, gets expensive real quick.

I would install a good barrel.

Shilen, Kreiger, Bartlein, Douglas, Brux, are all great barrels, plus a few that I missed.

Have you had a bad experience with Proof? I've used three of their barrels (and about to fit & chamber a 4th) and have seen excellent performance.
