I traded for a rifle today and was told it had 1952 Commercial Mauser action. I would like consider putting the gun in a lighter stock. I just don't know what I have or what might be available. If someone would drop me a pm i would like to talk about what I have.

Any markings or writing on the gun would help. Is the safety on the bolt or on the side attached to the trigger? Does the barrel have steps or is it just tapered. Would be better to post pictures. powdr
