A Levergun Smith, Looking For One - 02/11/18
Looking to ship a M94 to a gunsmith savvy with lever actions.
It's c1961, a carbine with mule loop, in fine overall shape but for:
1.) lever is slightly bent, and it's travel at the pivot furthermore with a bit of side-play, permitting the lever to side-step the lever safety pin. This having been occurring over years, evidently, as there is a small deformation, too, in the lever where it interacts with the lever safety pin/button.
2.) lever safety pin actuation is ridiculously heavy (not like others I have/had). Have cleaned it, inspected it. No dice. Has the piano wire spring. Will look again at it, but reckon an experienced levergun smith will know how to properly remedy that, too.
Thanks in advance.
