Howdy,
I'm looking to have a Kimber MT (most likely 8400) rebarreled and fit/bedded into the OEM MT stock and looking for gunsmith suggestions for this work.
Most likely it would be fitting a modified or slightly heavier contour tube and chambering it for 6.5 PRC to get a bit more weight out front on a 24" barrel. Then whatever minor stock work, glass bedding, trigger adjustment, check/tweak feed/function would be needed.

It doesn't need to be from a big name smith or outfit, or ceracoated, or have beautifully scripted barrel markings... but Im looking for good quality work and decent turn around time, decent price and accurate function.
Ive worked with some great smiths on Model 70 builds, but would love some suggestions on guys who work on Kimbers.
Feel free to PM if thats helpful too.

Thanks!

Please share anything you find! Been thinking of something similar - somewhat heavier barrel in an 8400 WSM.
Nothing different or complex about kimber rebarrel, give me an email: [email protected]
My local Smith/hunting pard is doing mine right now, with a Rock Creek #2 contour. I’ll ask him if he’s interested in another if you’d like, send me a PM.
