Does anyone know if Triggertech makes a Model Seven trigger? Will a 700 trigger work or are they different? Looking to replace the factory stuff.

They are the same - 700 and Model 7. If you are still uncertain, email Trigger Tech or check with another aftermarket trigger manufacturer. Timney shows different triggers for Model 7 and Model 700. Rifle Basix says their trigger work on any of the 7-series rifles. I have installed several aftermarket triggers on Model 7s, one of which is in my safe now. It's been a while since I looked at it, however.

The trigger itself is the same. The bolt release is different. Pretty sure there was a post about someone making their own bolt release to make a triggertech work in their M7.

The safety levers are the same part on a 700 or Seven trigger group.

The bolt stop is of third pin design aka 600/660 XP-100 s/shot.

The safeties are not the same. They work the same and will both fit the triggers but a m7 safety rides tighter to the action - the reason they flatten the right side of the bolt shroud on the m7. If you run a m7 safety on a 700 it will not clear the shroud. Likewise if you run a 700 safety on a m7 you will need to open the safety inletting on most m7 stocks.

Well I was really wanting a Triggertech for this Seven but since it appears they don't make one what would be the one to buy?

I’ve used timney without complaint. Jewell also makes one, but I’ve never had one, so I can’t comment on them.

You can run the triggertech, just know the safety will stick out away from the action a bit and may require slight opening of the safety inletting on the stock. And the bolt release won’t work. If you do go down this road, swapping out the m7 shroud for a 700 shroud makes it less offensive in appearance. I would run an actual m7 trigger though if it was me.

I have a timney in mine, no complaints at all. I'd put another one in for sure.

I spoke with Triggertech today. I was told they're coming out with a model Seven trigger soon. Otherwise modify the existing one for a working bolt release as has been pointed out.

I have 2 Model 7's with Timney triggers and I like them. On one of the rifles, I had to enlarge the slot in the trigger guard in order for the trigger to work. On the other one, it dropped right in.

I also have a Model 7, in which I put an Ernie the Gunsmith trigger spring in the original trigger, and it reduced the pull, turning it into a nice trigger.
