I'm wondering if there is a more precise way to obtain positive feeding from the M98 than the cut and try method. I am aware of the formula for altering magazine box dimensions to hold different cartridges, and wonder if a similar tool exists for determining feed rail dimensions. Thanks!
Best left to a Mauser pro. Anything close to a 7x57, or 8x57 isn't a real issue. Belted magnums are a little different though.
I really do prefer to leave it to the pros, but it sure is getting difficult to find any Mauser smiths who are still on the right side of the dirt. If you or any other folks reading the thread can suggest a quality smith in the SE US, I would greatly appreciate it.
