Mod. 71 Win. question - 02/21/20
My Mod. 71 Win. Deluxe was made in Japan by Morkoru. When I load four in the magazine and then chamber a round it will not let me load another round into the magazine. The loading gate will not depress and all I can think of it is hitting the head of the next case. It does not matter if there is three or two or one round in the magazine, the loading gate will not depress if there is a round in the chamber.
My Mod. 94Win. .44 Mag. will take another round with a loaded chamber as will my Marlin 1895 in 45-70. This can't be right as I should be able to have the hammer cocked and the rifle pointed at a critter and load another round into the magazine if I feel the need. Is it a faulty spring or out of spec screw some place. Appreciate any help and ideas.
