PM envelope always flashing

My envelope always flashes...new messages or not. Is that just the way it is or can I turn it off until I get a new message?

That’s how it is for a lot of the newer folk.

Mine has been flashing for over 8 years...you need to be a Pre-64 member to make it stop maybe.

It was a brokered deal. Us early adopters don't suffer the ever-flashing envelope in exchange for losing our little red numbers. Right ironbender?
