Like the title says, I'm not getting email alerts letting me know about private messages.

I was wondering if this is because of something I have done or a glitch etc.

Is it still enabled in your settings?

Yes it is. I had made my email not available to the public but did not think that should affect things.

I just figured it out. I checked my spam folder which is usually empty and there were 1,382 emails from the "It's Meme Time" thread!
