No problem finding 375 Win. around here----paying for it, that's becoming a problem.

I must have been living under a rock but I had no idea how expensive loaded center fire ammunition is. $3.50 to $4.50 a round for 375 Win!!! I have a box of Winchester, 250 grain, priced for $16.90 that came with the rifle I bought years ago. I cast my own bullets and reload for my rifles so I haven't looked at prices for a long time.

Im going to rebore my Marlin stainless 30-30 up to 375 win. 30-30 brass can be fireformed to 375 win and im going to use a cast bullet. Why do it otherwise?

375 Winchester is easy to reload as are all straight walls I have loaded. The other plus to reloading 375 W is better performance. I have always considered the 375 W to be a hand loader proposition. Regarding Reed's Ammunition, I have always had good performance from Reed's products.

Why not buy 38-55 brass (new Winchester brass has recently been available for under $40 per bag of 50) and trim to 2.02 inches?[

The starline brass any good?

I use Starline Brass for 38-55, 375 Win, 45 Colt, and 44 Mag without any complaints. I like it better than Winchester.

The last few orders of Winchester brass were pretty beat up, tints, bent mouths and such.

E. Arthur Brown - Eabco.com Offers reformed 30-30 brass to 375 Winchester dimensions for reloading. It is not fireformed. It is new 30-30 brass reformed mechanically to 375W. I have used this brass and re-used it for several loadings without any problems. Purists will point out that original 375W brass has a thicker web to withstand the higher pressures generated in the 375W. That's true. However, I have been using full loads with EABCO brass with no indications of pressure issues.

Don't bother with the fire-forming and case trimming.
Just buy Starline .375 Winchester brass.

A stainless 336 in .375 Winchester seems like an excellent idea.

In my experience Starline brass is excellent for all cartridges.

And it's reasonable in price.

I agree that Starline brass is excellent. If it's available it's the way to go.
