I have a winchester 94 in 25/20 and one in 32/20. One is 1902, the other is 1907. I have at least 1 box of shells for each, maybe more. I have to search a bit more. Any info on value would be greatly appreciated.
They are both about a 7 on a scale of 1-10.

A Winchester model 94 in those calibers never existed. Do you by chance have a model 94 Marlin? If it is a Winchester it should be a model 92.

If they're in that good of shape in those cartridges, they are worth a pretty penny. I sold my 1916 made 92 in 38-40 a few years ago for $1300, and it was only in 50-60% condition. I imagine values have increased considerably since then, and the smaller cartridges add value, too.

I have a 32-20 produced in 1911. I talked to a couple antique gun guys about insurance value (it's a family gun that will never be sold) and they seemed to think in decent condition they're worth $1100 to $1300 on paper, though you'd probably struggle to find a private buyer at that price. They also said what you probably already know: re-finishing the metal/bluing will tank its value.

If you plan to play with it, buy the ammo in bulk when you see it. Remington used to do a limited run, not sure post bankruptcy. Haven't seen new Winchester in quite a while. Some of the cowboy boutiques produce, but it gets pricey.

I just got a 25-20 and ammo is tough to find. I have been looking for 86gr bullets for reloading. It is a tough market.

Finding anmo and components is tough for the .25-20 (as you’ve found out). Winchester did a run a year or two ago on brass and it can be found at “normal” prices. Bullets are another matter - over the years I have accumulated as many jacketed bullets as I could. Factory 86 grainers are a real tough find but you may occasionally run on to some Speer 75 grain bullets. I have mostly gone to cast with gas checks in the .25-20 and if you don’t cast your own there are several out there that could supply you.

Have fun it is a great little cartridge - it and the .32-20 are my favorites for lever silhouette shooting.
