what's a model 94 in excellent condition worth?
U.S Repeating Arms ? Several variations of 94's as well. What cal 30-30 , 32 spcl 38-55 ?????
I really like my 32 Special 94, but I see 30-30's bring more. I also like my 375 and they seem to bring even more. Other rifles with different chamberings vary on price also.

To follow up on this, what are some things to check in a 3-day inspection period if an online auction is won? Pre-64 gun.
Have seen several sell in the traders on different boards sell under $500 lately, most under $400 .
it's a 30-30 model 94AE. tried looking up the serial number but couldn't get a definitive manufacturer date. it was made in New Haven, Conn.
I picked up a 1970 manufactured 30-30 94 for $450 out the door the other day if that helps
Probably around $500-$600 give or take. Might get more on the auction sites.
A pre 64 model is worth about twice what later models made in the say the 80's or 90's. Some, like me, have a soft spot for the New Haven guns made during the 80's because thats when I was in middle and high school and really got into hunting and guns and thats what we remember fondling at the local gun store. Jump way ahead to the current rifles being made by Miroku and thats a whole other price bracket. They are exceptionally well made and many believe they are the most detailed and accurate 94's ever built. As for what to look for in a 3 day inspection? If allowed safely load the rifle with 3-5 rounds and work the action. Does it feed and eject ok? Inspect the bore for pits and make sure the sights are not cantered. Any non factory holes drilled in the receiver? Depending on the year of manufacture there could be two peep sight holes drilled on the top left of the receiver as well as scope base holes on top of the receiver. Other than that how does the fit and finish look where wood meets metal?
Hope ok If i piggyback on the question. I have a anniversary model 94. So made in 1994 to original specks. Has top eject etc. However, I purchased it from a fella who had rarely used it. He shipped it to me and it came damaged in the box. The stock was chipped up bad. I ordered a new stock and forearm from brownells. I have yet to piece together. Any idea what this model would be worth once put back together? thanks
I personally much prefer 30-30 to .32 Spl. But... In strict collector context of pre '64 Models, the .32 is considered - all else equal - more collectible. Lesser numbers in existence!
For me, not a hand-loader or fan of paying a premium for obsolete ammo when same gunofferede in yet factory chambering, I'll take the latter. I won't kick a .32 Spl out of the safe, but moved bit too far into "collector realm" where obsolete ammo rules!
