On my .35Rem. Marlin 336, I'm installing an XS Scout Scope setup using a Leupold 2.5. I have an XS Ghost Ring setup on it also.

The ghost ring is high enough to be in the line of sight to the scope. It only comes up about 1/2 to the crosshairs and shouldn't be a problem since it's blurred, but I'm curious as to whether this is normal for this type of installation.

Thanks, Rob
From all the pictures I've seen of Ashley system it appears as if this is normal. The system mounts the peep with enough elevation adjustment to be useful and the scope as low as possible. I would guess that it is something you just have to get used to, kind of like seeing your front sight through a low-powered scope.

Hope I was of help,
Bob
Thanks Bob, I did check with Bo, the gunsmith at XO and he said the same thing. As I said it's really no big deal, I'm sure I'll never notice it in the field.

The 336 came out real well with the shortened barrel, Scout setup and Ghost Ring sights. Got it all together last night, now just have to get out to the range and test some cartridges.

Gun is actually kind of cute, I think I'll save up for one of those big glove loop levers and put on a saddle ring.

thanks again.
