Hey guys, I just picked up a 94 from a family estate sale and was wondering where (online) I can find out how old it is? It is a 32 Win SPl. and in fair shape except some rust from finger print marks on the receiver, it has a 7 digit serial starting with 17xxxxx. Any help gladly accepted....Thanks

Walker, Thanks for the link! And it worked fine... the 94 is a 1951year model. I bet it can tell some tales, once I figure out how to get it to talk. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Thanks again!

How does the .32 Win. Spl. stack up as a deer caliber?I have a chance at a fairly nice 94 in this caliber.

There's not a deer alive that would know the difference between a 32 WS and a 30-30 at the business end. Some say the 32 packs a bit more wallop, but ballistics tables don't support that. So if it does, it is very, very marginal. Bottom line: it's a great deer caliber...just like the 30 WCF (30-30).
