Anybody have one ? How does it shoot with commerical cast bullets ? One of our club members showed up with a new one. They look very interesting now that Starline is making heavier brass for this round. E

E, ........ Pretty sure you meant the Marlin 1894CL? The new ones come with micro-groove rifling, so I wouldn't expect bragging-level accuracy with cast bullets, except maybe at very low velocity. I have no first hand experience with it, though, so could be wrong.

I have an older 1894CL with cut rifling but haven't shot any lead bullets out of it yet, except for some Winchester factory ammo. Should get on that, I guess, but I've been so pleased with jacketed 100 gr. Speers that I haven't had the urge to experiment.
