I have passed several good offers over the last 4-5 years because I wanted a NIB to save. More I think about it I would like to have a very nice one to shoot and enjoy. However if anyone has a NIB Id be interested as well
The CCL, oddly enough There is a guy locally has 3 of these in box for sale. Just dont like the cowboy carbine
Thanks for the links. I reached out to the other seller with the S couple days ago with no reply as of yet
I wish you good luck. I got tired of looking about the time Marlin made the 1894FG. I did not like and did not want the pistol grip stock but knew I had better get a 41Magnum anyway I could. I knew from MarlinOwners.com that they could be fixed either by cutting the bottom tang and reshaping the stock or trading the bottom metal/lever/stock to someone who had a '94 they wanted to convert to pistol grip. I swapped out the works with my own 32/20 for a while but I griped about it so much on MarlinOwners that I had someone that wanted to trade. His stock came off of a Cowboy model without the checkered stock (which is what I wanted anyway.) I removed the checkering from my forearm, stained it to match and had an 1894S look-a-like. The original versions from the 1980's are few and far between, or so it seems. If you look long enough and are willing to pay enough they can occasionally be found. Best of luck to you sir.
Thanks Goat I appreciate the reply. I have ran across many really good offers on the S, but it was either long distance and seller wouldnt ship to my FFL, etc something always
I hope one day my patience (or stubborness) I will end up with one that will make me happy.
My favorite .41 Magnum lever gun shoots bullets from 210 to 400 grains:
Yep I.shoot 41 mag bullets out of my 405 Winchester too !
