Those should be pretty close in value for an even trade. What year is your 444s? If it is in very good shape with faster twist (think it's 2001 and newer) then it could push up to $1000 max. The CB45/70 is worth about the same, maybe $1-200 more, if it's truly NIB as a collector. If it's not 100% NIB expect it to drop in the $8-900 range. I've had and sold couple of each... Just my experience on GB.

Thanks for the input , I also have a box and half of Hornsby leverutions and four boxes of super performance 265 JSP’s . Guess that is worth at least 100 and that’s well below retail , thanks Kenneth

FWIW.......sold a 26" 45-70 CB a while back......JM....$850

Personally think the 444 is more collectable & less common....

I totally agree.

The 444 especially the non micro grove is the " caliber du jour" and IMO more valuable than a 45/70 long barrel.

The 444 is more valuable

Offered him ammo and100 boot , he said he felt like he couldn't do it for that difference , so I wished him luck in his sale
and ended conversation . Kenneth

444 is a good one. i have a clean 1977 model that shoots 265 gr. FPs into 1 one hole if I do my part.
