I guess it's because I am old and I grew up at the time when westerns were on TV and still popular in the Movies or maybe it's because I like the history or even because I much prefer metal and wood. But for whatever reason I started looking at my various options, models, and brands and I decided to go with not only a Henry but also some of it's offspring. Initially it was the Henry but after looking it soon became a 1866 and a 1873 as well. After all the research and looking around I was able to find the ones that appealed to me the most. Some where along the way I also started to look for a 1892 but my criteria for this one was that it also had to be a takedown version as well. Unfortunately my timing was a bit late in the game and that was a bit harder to find. Fortunately I recently found the one I wanted but it will be another couple of weeks before I get it. Somehow I figured this small collection would not have been complete without it, so I am very happy I was able to find one.

Odd, but it was weird I was unable to post another photo from photobucket elsewhere on this forum and the actual image showed and not the link but not the same with these two. The links work for me but then again it's my photobucket account. Unsure at this point where or what the issue is. Hmmmmmm

Yes, one in the same.
The link formats were kind of funky. I cleaned them up some.

One of my criteria was to get these rifles with some better looking wood. The 1892 comes with a slightly lower grade wood than the other two Winchesters but still looks fairly nice as well.
next will be an 86, a 94 and a 95! might as well keep the family going.
very nice family.

nice shootin' irons.............

but you need a cedar fence post...................... cry
Sweet! Henry, Chiappa, or Uberti?

The Henry Rifle is the New Original Henry from Henry Repeating Arms. The Winchesters are all Winchester Mirokus to include the 1892 which I will have shortly. The one exception and my only original Winchester is this Winchester 9422.

Actually I almost forgot my Winchester Miroku 1873 in 45 Colt.

Nice.

But that fence post thing, I'll just have to get back to you on that.
Just picked up my latest addition to my little family.
