I looked at one and passed.it honestly felt light and i think id prefer the rifle version. Are they any good? Seller said 1980 vintage.
Great little carbines. One of my favorite Marlins.
mine is a new production remington, it might just be my favorite gun. holy crap I love the thing. you can carry it around all day long in your hand. its basically shoots and handles like a 22LR but throws a brick instead. I highly recommend getting one. They are an absolute hoot to shoot. way different shooting dynamic than the big 30-30's which are so popular. Those are much more clunky in comparison. the JM 357's are insanely priced. but IMO if you get a chance to look over a new production remington made 1894, I don't think you will go wrong.
They're priced higher than they were, but it's demand that drives the price.
And I'm glad I paid the price and have mine...
Don't pass up a presafety 1894 in 357....
What Stan said. They don’t make “ real” Marlins anymore.
30-30s are ....................big??? Rusty
here's a '79 357........nice & handy carbines......
but even the older real ones can be prone to feeding/cycling issues
the carrier/elevators are known to get a notch worn in from the lever

Im supposed to pick it up.
Thanks. It is growing on me fast.
