Hell of a deal, now call Meister bullets over in Missouri and order you 500 of the .458 diameter 500gr flat nosed hard cast bullets, they'll blue lube em for you if you want to shoot smokeless, a hell of a hunting bullet at a hell of a price.

Bout darn time some one offered this. One classy looking rifle. If they ever offer it with a pistol grip stock I may get one. Imagine how many Mod 71's would of been spared a trip to the gun smith to be made into a .450 Alaskan if that rifle had been readily available.

I think the 45-90 was 1 in 32 and the 45-70 was 1 in 22.

Not sure what the modern guns run...someone who has one surely knows.

I am the old and blind one. That pic from Fotis is a pistol grip stock. For some reason I focused on the other two rifles. I think I see why my wife gets irritated with me some times now...….

That butt plate is why I sold off my Browning 1886. have an original Winchester 1886 Light rifle that is much nicer to shoot despite its lighter weight.

I just bought a 1886 45-90 with a 20' barrel,it comes up real nice,I loaded some Hornady 350's & took it to the range,real accurate @ 50 offhand so far with sights.

Absolutely gorgeous! They are doing a phenomenal job. As an avid fan of pre 1900 86's and model 71's, I hate to admit it however they are making them in a class with the originals.
