Saw a Henry side gate 38-55Win yesterday. Would have bought it EXCEPT BRASS not STEEL. Will not hunt the woods with a shiny brass rifle. Waiting for the steel model.

Agreed on the shiny rifle concern. The side gate is a non issue with me but I really like the thoughts of a bb steel in that caliber, possibly with an octagonal barrel, I'd be in line for that.

and they make it in a 35 too. i also don't like that brass look. gotta love henry for keeping the old timers going at an affordable cost.

Yeah I wish Henry would get over the whole brass thing. They always seem more about bling than building working mans hunting rifles. And how many leverguns do pimps really buy anyway?
