Is there anything that can be done to make the trigger lighter and smoother? Are there any after market products that I should look at? This is my first time with a lever rifle so looking for help.

I've had three of them. The triggers took some mastering but I never heard anything could be done.

Thanks, not what I wanted to hear but I'll learn to live with it. Since you have had three what should I expect on spent brass ejection as mine just dribbles out of the action and maybe I am not working the lever fast enough.

what caliber is it? ,most pistol caliber Win 94 's just dribble the cases out of the action ,no matter how hard you work the lever, like my .44 mag AE .But my 30-30 AE chucks them about 6 to 10 feet if i work the lever hard and fast

like i said the .44 mag and other pistol calibers are like that, for some reason Winchester designed all of them to just barely kick or dribble the empty shell out of the rifle

The 94 isn't optimal for pistol cartridges. I wish Winchester would've kept them in the model 92.

If you just improve the trigger you just improve the trigger.
If you learn it and learn to hit with it you become a better person.

If they've got the rebounding hammer, the trigger is probably going to suck.

At one time the solution was to buy a complete, old style lower tang with the hammer & other components, and just swap them out. You can get in there and polish contact surfaces, tweak springs etc to at least make them shootable. There are tutorials out there if you look for them.

I can't stand rude behavior in a rifle trigger. I won't tolerate it.
