Hello every one
I am curious has any one used the Mossberg 30-30? Good / bad indifferent? Scoped not scoped.
I have not seen them discussed.
Thank for any and all replies / thoughts on this gun.
Thanks

Well, I’ve only handled one Mossberg, and it really is wasn’t too bad. Basically a Winchester 94 clone. And, I’ve not heard anyone say anything negative about them.
I’d pick one over a Henry any day.
I had a coast to coast, but never fired it, one of my regrets in life. Sold it.
The wood was swapped out, and I got many 30/30 shooters.
The trigger drops out with the lever I believe. Other wise it appeared like a 336. I assumed trigger work would have been more difficult.
Thanks Angus 1895.

I saw a new one at a gun shop a few years ago. Had an AR type forearm and retractable stock on it. Not my cup-o-coffee, but pretty cool.
I picked up a Mossberg 464 a couple of months ago and love it. Laminated stock, “stainless” steel finish and 16.5 inch barrel. Just a really sweet handling woods gun. Installed a 1x4 scope on it and a cheek piece pad and used it to shoot a nice buck in Dec.
One of my all time favorite lever actions so far.
Thanks Snowwolfe.
Congrats on taking a buck.
