My chiropractor has recommended that I get a Kuiu pack for my elk hunting trips. He thinks that the frame and suspension are best suited to my back. Kuiu has a 25% off sale this weekend and I am trying to decide what bag to get. I will mainly be1-3 day spike camps away from the truck during archery season. I wish that they had a size between the 3600 and the 6000. I am afraid that the 3600 doesn't have quite enough room, and that I would fill the 6000 up with more than I need since there is available space. What do you guys that run them use and likes and dislikes?
Thanks

I agree with your comments and perspective on the Kuiu Back packs!
Were vere happy with them.

My Son got me into the 6000 series, like he uses, and it works out very well.
We don't try to over pack our packs, but naturally the key word is try!!! LOL!

It's amazing how many times we pack and unpack, before we head out, mainly checking,
and re checking our gear, and our completed lists from past trips!

I have the Kuiu Pro LT 4000, and really like it. A bit more room than the 3600, but the carbon fiber frame makes this an extremely lightweight pack. Lots of adjustment for good fit, as well. It is on sale for a really good price.

I ended up ordering the Pro 6000. I guess that I like having a lid on the pack, so that ruled out the 3600 and the LT400. It then came down to the 600 or the LT 5500, and I debated durability, weight and price, and durability won out. Thanks for the help!

Congrats, they make quality gear.

Go for the 6000, and don't over-pack it. You can always cinch it down if you don't need the space, but you can't make a pack bigger when you need it, like hauling out a load of meat with light bulky gear.

I have the 3600 and 7000. Like the pack and would not hesitate to recommend.

Kuiu sales are hard to resist. I've been looking at them for a while. Ended up getting the 6000 in the solid color. Looking forward to checking it out!

I bought both... the 3600 and the 6000 during the sale. I can mount either on the frame and harness. 3600 for early season and 6000 for late season and bivouacs.
BTW, I LOVE the Pro system! A lot more comfortable and stable than my previous packs. Like the bag layout also.

I have the old Ultra 4000 on the new Pro Suspension/Belt. Love it. Will get a new Pro LT 4000 in the future if needed.

Great picture!
I have started wearing mine with some weight in it, and like it. I hope to someday put it to use as well as you have yours.

What issues have you experienced with the frane?

I was wondering the same thing?

not a fan of kuiu packs.

there may be an exception but i don't see too many guys dumping stone glacier packs for kuiu's

i keep a first gen one, cuz i'm a cheapass and it's paid for.

for one their lid system sucks. floppy like a set of fun bags on an 70 year old.

their zipper pulls suck.

the narrow tramp stamp lumbar pad is dumb

Are they able to custom fit you like Kifaru does?

They have a lot of adjustment.

I bought a couple. Packed one elk out, no complaints vs. my usual Mystery Ranch.

I still have one that I kept because they’re so lightweight. But for day to day use I worry about some of the scaled down buckles etc holding up in the long run.
