Ordered the Outdoorsmans Palisade 90 yesterday. Will be taking it to Colorado this fall for a pack in hunt. Looked at lots of packs and I know there are many strong opinions here, which I respect. This particular model seemed to check a lot of boxes for me. We'll see. My "back packing" experience is DOD related where I carried an ALICE pack, a lot. Was able to live out of them for at least a week, sometimes longer with no resupply other than water. Those days are over so I can carry things like a jet boil instead of a radio! Looking forward to the trip and will relay any pluses or minuses at it's conclusion.

Interesting pack. They sure don't make it easy to find torso fit info on their website though, which is a rather glaring omission. I found one mention of torso adjustment in one of their youtube videos (Outdoorsmans belt and harness install tutorial), so you can see how it is adjusted on the pack, but had to search to find it.

However it doesn't state the range of torsos it can accommodate. Ironically, their pack fitting video (Outdoorsmans Pack System Fitting) doesn't cover torso fitment. Just hip belt, shoulder straps, load lifters and sternum strap.

Thanks for the heads-up. Will book mark that for when it arrives. I'm fairly average sized so wasn't overly concerned about getting it to fit. That and going from an Army ALICE pack a purpose built hunting pack will be like exchanging a corolla for a caddy.

The lack of load lifters is a deal breaker for an elk hunters pack.

Beanman, it has load lifters which they do discuss in their fitment video. I edited my post to reflect that.
