I know many on here us the go-lite shelters but what about the rest of there stuff? I am thinking about picking up a pack of theirs for my wife in the 50l range. Also what is there clothing like? Durable? Or is it junky and not going to stand up to moderate use?

I have a Golite windshirt, it is a run of the mill windshirt. I also have a zero degree Golite sleeping bag. It ain't cut to fit big burly boys. I've read the 20F Golite quilt is more like a 30F quilt. That is all of their gear I've used. I'd advice you to look at ULA for a hiking pack, and at the packs Hill People Gear are currently working on for a hunting pack.

I have a 20deg bag, 40 deg quilt, and SL5 shelter, I like them all. I looked hard at their packs, the terrano was the stongest it appeared, but I question the ability to haul lots of weight. I think the packs get pretty good reviews though, and they are priced reasonable, so if your wife wont be hauling elk quarters I would consider them.

Thanks for the input. This would be more of a "normal" long days/overnite backback for my wife. If Evans upcoming packs suit my needs/wants I may give her my MR CC as she likes it and with the loads she would be carrying would be more than she would ever need.

Oh, I forgot to add that I have a Golite SL3 that I added a stove jack to that I like a lot. I had Bearpaw Designs make a nest for it. It works great, well, if both of you are short. The SL4/5 is likely a better choice for two. With the stove, the SL3 is a one-man shelter, nothing wrong with that, as it is still quite lite. I bought a Seek Outside CF pole for it also.

I have a GoLite Pinnacle backpack that I use for 4-day backpacking trips. Extremely satisfied with it so far.
You just missed a deal on the Jam 50L a few days ago.
