Got to do a few sheep hunts this year, pretty fantastic time as always. Two Dall's from Alaska and one of my best buddies Bighorns from here in Colorado. Quite a bit of hunting left in the year but it's been a good start.

When the going gets nasty and wet and cold...what's the go to glove or glove system in that country?

I really don't wear much for gloves honestly. I've got a crappy little pair of ripped up Outdoor Research liner gloves that I take on most hunts, and a really light set of Cabelas fleece flip-open mittens with 150gr of Thinsulate that only get worn glassing early morning and late evening.
Something that dries out quickly is what a guy wants out there, in my experience.

Pretty sweet, and old skool Trebark to boot....
Hey Tanner, I just saw this thread. Looks like you're having a good time on the mountain chasing those sheep.
Wishing you great trip. Stay safe up there.
Makes me homesick for the hills. Good on ya Tanner
Great Rams looks like an awesome experience!
Great pics and hunts....would love to be that successful some day.
Was able to sneak out for myself this October too. I backpacked solo into a new to me wilderness area and found this decent buck up around treeline after a few days of glassing and finding very few deer. Pretty fun time. Big thanks to my buddy GregW for pointing me towards this spot! Was also able to find a raghorn bull to notch my tag on and get some great meat in the freezer.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Tuner,
Way too cool. Thanks for helping some of us live vicariously through your hunting exploits (of the 4 legged kind)!
Very well done! You're life planning skills are much better than mine were at that age...
Nice buck and enjoy the pics!
Great pics! Congrats on the deer and elk. What bino holder are you using in the first Alaska pic? Thanks.
