Anyone know which Meindl boot replaced the Island Pros? I've had 3 pairs of Meindls and the last pair is finally done. I've got Lowa, Hanwag, and Zamberlan currently in the closet, but really love my Meindls. I'd like to find a boot as comfortable as the Island Pros. Anyone that has had Island Pros have boots that they find comparable?

I'm currently looking at Scarpa or Kenetrek, but I really just want another pair of Island Pros.

I think they still make what is essentially the same boot, but it now has memory foam in the upper parts so it molds to your ankles.

The Cabelas Denali is close the Island Pro, but not built to the same level IMO. I had a pair of Kenetreks, and while tough and held up, they did not fit me nearly as well as the Island Pros. I really wish there was a place in the US to get real Meindl's and not the Cabelas branded ones. The Island Pros are the best boots I've ever had. Hoffman Boots is the only place I know of in the US to get Meindls, but they don't carry the Island Pros.

AJ Brooks carries Meindls and the Island Pros, but I've not checked to see if they will ship to the US.

My next boots will probably be from Lathrop and Sons, which is where I got my Island Pros back when they carried Meindl. Their footbeds/insoles are the best I've ever tried and I like the looks of their line of boots.
