Just got done with a week in Quetico Park fishing and camping. Had a new MSR Windburner stove and an MSR skillet that fits on top of it. We boiled water a few dozen times and fried fish a lot in the skillet. The stove itself is just under 1 pound. Very fast boils on water and was completely adequate for frying on actually.

It seems to be a very nice piece of gear for sure and very fuel efficient. If you're looking for a new light backpacking stove, you may want to check it out.
thansk for the info,... now how was the fishing? we've had about 6 weeks of non stop stellar weather up here, hope it was a good time for you.....

Hey Randy, Fishing was great. Hit a bunch of walleyes under the falls and had great topwater smallmouth action. And yes, other than a rainy day on the paddle in, weather was stellar. It had been a while for us to hit Quetico, need to get there more often.

Also tried out the new 10x10 Kifaru lightweight tarp and a Hilleberg Keron tent. Kind of nice when all the new stuff works as advertised. Need that Hille up high this fall. Hope all is well with you guys.
