There was a thread like this awhile back and it was cool to see what people were using so I thought I’d ask again. My main hobby is hunting sheep and goats but I do the moose and caribou thing too.

-kifaru fulcrum w/28” tactical frame
-western mountaineering badger sleeping bag
-Hilleberg Allak tent
-exped sleep pad
-MSR reactor stove
-Crispi birksdall sf boots
-mostly kuiu for all my clothing
-Swarovski ats 65 spotter
-swaro EL 8x42binos
-kimber Montana 308/tikka T3x 6.5

There’s other odds and ends but that’s the main setup. What are you using and what are you trying to hunt?
I hunt alone often, so I try to stay as light as possible, but enough items onboard to easily get me through a night of packing out deer/elk

4’x6’ tarp
Paracord
Fire starter/flame makers
Spare knife
Sharpening stone
Small saw
Waterstraw
Trail tape/reflective
4 quarter bags
Beanie
0 degree base shirt
2 head lamps by LED Lenser (good schit)
Batteries
Medkit with clot sponge and assorted bandages
Skeeter repellent
Spare contact lenses
TP
Space blanket
NOAA beacon
Powerbars/oysters/gum
Water
Flask-Pendleton 1910
😎
For elk and deer:

Kifaru Reckoning
Rifle
Binos (a spotter and tripod too, in some cases)
Camera
10 or so extra rounds
Nalgene bottle
Lunch with some extra cliff bars
Heavy sweater in my pack
Headlamp with 1 set of extra batteries
Electric tape
Havalon Piranha with extra blades
Gransfors Bruks hatchet
4-5 Caribou game bags
3-4 feet of flagging
Road flare
SPOT
Gerber Multitool
Water

If planning to go overnight:
Katadyn vario filter
Kifaru slik bag
Kifaru Paratarp

I used to carry 50 feet of P cord, though I think I will not carry this anymore as I haven't used it in years
I used to carry a couple small road flares all the time...They’re rather heavy for the size. I still put one in my pack if I know the weather is going be horrible. You can start a good fire in soaking wet conditions using one. 😎

Most of my backpack hunting has just been backpacking during hunting season. My standard backpacking carry gun is a S&W 329PD. I do quite a bit of handgun hunting so I'm totally comfortable hunting deer with that. I'm hiking mostly forested areas with small ponds / lakes up to about 30 acres with grassy margins and small meadows that used to be ponds or lakes but have filled in. Long range isn't an option. The hunt I do for backpacking is mid-late September, higher mountains, so though I've seen snow a couple years it's a lot more likely to be tee shirt weather during the day. I've used a tarp and bug bivy about as much as I use a small tent.

Following the OP's template
Pack: Stone Glacier Terminus
Bag: Wiggys "ultra light" bag
Tent: GoLite SL5 - generally carrying a small tarp and now a space blanket
Pad: RidgeRest or Z-Rest and Sea2Summit inflatable pad
Stove: Jetboil
Boots: Meindl Denali's for Sheep/Goats, something more flexible otherwise
Clothes: Mostly Kuiu clothing, a little smartwool, still using some ancient Patagonia rain bibs.
Spotter: Zeiss 65mm spotter
Binos: Leica 10x42s
Rifle: Kimber Montana 280AI or (maybe this year) Fieldcraft 6.5 creed
First thing.....I get dressed

I've had way way better then average luck as long as my buddy Cody was close by.....

Close enough to point out what I need or can shoot at !!
I'd be typing for a year trying to remember all the little [bleep] in my pack but the general outline stays the same:

Pack: Kifaru EMR w/ 2 spotting scope pockets, a few small pouches, and a guide lid, on their 26" hunting frame.
Tent: Hilleberg Nallo 3 for the last few years, or Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 if I'm going by myself. I also carry a Hilleberg Tarp UL-10 on any Alaskan hunt i do, and sometimes carry only that if it's a quick trip or weather is forecasted to be decent.
Sleeping Bag: Been using a MH UltraLamina 15 for the last 6 years and it's been good.
Pad: Some sort of NeoAir on top of a Z-lite.
Boots: Scarpa
Clothes: whatever solid color hiking pants and shirt I've got reasonably clean when the hunt starts.
Binos/Pouch: Maven 10x42 in an AGC pouch I've had for a while. Been a solid setup too.
Spotter: Swaro 20-60x65 HD on top of a Manfrotto BeFree.
Rifle: 700 6.5x47 or a FieldCraft 6.5 CM, both with a 10x42 SWFA.

Nice to have good solid list to rely on!
