I have experience with the VE-25 tents and the normal jackets, but not anything else. What I would like to do is pick up a few lighter duty items and loaner items that would be used more in the scouting season. Not for full blown pack in hunts, but more for training trips, scouting, stuff I can loan, etc.
Thinking of picking up a lightweight tent and maybe the Prophet 85 pack. Maybe another 3 season bag. Summit climb pants?
Any Northface gear y'all have to recommend at 50% off?
I like some of their puffy jacket options. Stretch down would be towards the top of the list.
Just camped in my VE-25 Guide tent in high desert after not using for a few years...like a fn hotel! Bonus is the fly actually fits on my single wall Mountain Hardwear tent for lower altitude, rainy camping.
Have a NF puffy that is great and their thin full zip fleece is a usual pack resident, too.
Even though I've replaced them, I have a pair of NF snow bibs that you could go on an expedition with.
Have a synthetic sleeping bag that I now use in wet, warmer weather. Has worked well in -5F environments, too. Excellent performance.
Am sure that Prophet pack is bombproof, but seems a little heavy to me.

I’m way late to this thread, but at 50% off the Northface “Basecamp” duffle bags would, IMHO, be a great buy. They are extremely well made—almost indestructible even with heavy use. I think they make four or five different sizes.
I agree that the TNF base camp is well made
in some ways, but not in other ways.
Have been using the small size one EDC
for just over 18 months,
The shoulderpad/strap construction is poor.
Got replacements on warranty Less than
a year in, but turfed them and put some HD
climbing strap webbing in their place.
at this point the pack is now showing serious
signs of the outer TPU coating cracking /seperating
from the base weave material on the roof and
on the panel that touches your back... I can
put my hand in between the weave and coating.
... Btw;
the base material is white, so it really shows up.
I dont treat the pack rough , it's just used as
an edc urban pack.
Some individual teeth on the #8 zip are giving
me problems, also in one small area the material
which the teeth are attached has come away,
so I have a section of about 15 consecutive
teeth which have pulled away and no longer
in line with the rest.
I like the way pack fits and feels for my
purposes and basic interigity of the bag
is still sound/good.
The stitching and reinforcing bartac stitch
are well done, the attachment webbing
and the 4x grab handles are well made.

Sorry for the bad news.... I was in the same boat as you getting the discount until I read the fine print on the website.
No discount For tents or sleeping bags ....
You guys are making me nostalgic for the 1970's. First, Svea 123 stoves, and now The North Face! Haven't bought anything from TNF in decades, but a whole lot of this high schooler's hard-earned summer job money was spent buying North Face packs, tents and sleeping bags in the early to mid 70's. American made (back then), and very high quality gear.
They used to be a good brand now, not so.much.
Now it is mostly overpriced mediocre gear sold to hipsters and metrosexuals
Look at the Nuptse Jacket 700 Fill Goose Down Vintage or their McMurdo Parka, thats the warmest one they make.
Oh, Denali Fleece pants with full length side zippers, another winner. If worn under a shell, you wont be cold with 300 wt. fleece insulation.
