How can I tell if the speed loaders a friend gave me, are four a Ruger Redhawk or Smith & Wesson! He new I had a .41 Ruger didn't realize mine was a Blackhawk. They each were ready with .41 factory loads! He thinks they were for a ruger, but can't remember. I don't have a place to try them!

Is there not a model number engraved somewhere on the loader?

Why not just try it and see if it works?

Thanks they have H.K.S 57,with patent number. Now the question to myself, get a revolver they fit or get rid of them.

If they fit one they fit the other

Send them to me. I'll take that problem off your hands.

This. Those made for K-Frame S&Ws all work perfectly with Colt Detective Specials and Police Positives, even though that's not advertised. If it works, it works.

That's a foolish question. There are much worse reasons for getting a new gun

By the way, the .44 mag speedloaders I have fit my N frame Smiths and my Ruger Redhawk.
