Anyone have any hands on experience with how durable Kimber's older KimPro II 2-tone finishs are, especially on guns with the black slide? Seems like lots of reports of the finish easily chipping or showing wear marks from the holster. Apprehensive about spending the money for one if it's going to look like crap soon.

Most handguns only show wear when practiced with sufficiently. If you practice enough any gun will show wear. Wear marks are a good thing when you are the one that put them there. grin

On some of the early models, they got the coating a little too thick & it has had some issues with chipping & since it's an actual coating, not a metal conversion, the wear phenomena is different than on a blued or on plated gun (like chrome or nickel) although nickel can flake as well.
