Saw a h&k p7m8 for sale in lgs price: $1,400.00 w/ 2 mags,no box or tools/paperwork.its in good shape, shooter grade.i want to get this for ccw .i already have one thats near new in box with everything. From looking online seems like a decent price,should hold its value,should i grab this?

The only one I’ve shot was an extremely accurate, easy to shoot gun. The only downsides were it’s weight and all that blued steel, neither of which fit in with concealed carry.

Buy it. I would love to have one again.

I grabbed it and also a s&w 5946 that was right next to it for $275.00.also a shooter grade.they both look good ,need a good cleaning thats all.

Pretty good deal depending on condition, of course.

Nice gun for a collection perhaps but there are far better choices for EDC. They get hot quick and are difficult to use for high volume practice.

Short barrel/slide in relation to heavy large grip requires specialized high quality holster for gun to stay flat against the belt. It uses floating chamber concept in its operation meaning theoretically it is more prone to stoppages. The front of grip needs to be compressed for gun to remain operational meaning it's hard to transfer back and forth from this gun to something else (sort of like using pump action hunting gun). I have used early police P7 and noticed the front of trigger guard would get pretty hot during prolonged firing. It does have consistent trigger pull and good accuracy and point of aim consistency due to fixed barrel-type construction. I would pass. It was replaced for service by G26 from first production run ca. 1995. The Glock still marches on

For me, the best carry option since 1979 or 80 has been a Galco Miami Classic on a Jackass harness. Very flat and balanced well with two mags. That took care of butt heavy issue. Never a malfunction until the recoil spring got tired five years ago. Has never stuttered since replacement. Never had a problem moving between action types. For me the grip feel was unique enough to instantly remind me of proper procedure.

Fantastic trigger, extremely accurate. What’s not to like. Except the price. They have gone through the roof.

A long time ago I found one and just had to have it. I shot it for a while and got rid of it. After awhile I convinced myself that I made a mistake and bought another one. After a couple range trips I got bored and sold it too.

They are unique, but that doesn't make them good at anything. For a range toy they were out classed by several other pistols. For carry they took a back seat to just about every. EXCEPT it was hands down the best pistol I ever had for a CCW while I was riding my bike. With the grip safety I could shoot it with or without my riding gloves equally well.

Ayoob called the P7 a jealous mistress, and he was right. Rosen made a good IWB holster. I had a P7M8 and a P7M8 K3 (.380, .32).

The K3 was a lot of fun to shoot, about 90% of the size of a 9mm. The .32 conversion was very accurate. The K3 didn’t have the gas piston, used a recoil buffer instead. The .22 conversions were cool, but very expensive.

I've found my P7 to be very accurate low recoiling even with Underwood 147 grain +P+
Only surpassed in magazine capacity in my ecperience very reliable
