I met our DIL at the local GS and helped her pick out a 9mm and saw this. The price was right. Inglis HP MKII.
Ethan, I think the bluing is gone. Going by pictures of other Inglis HPs IMO the bluing was very good to begin with. I may be wrong. I'll probably just cold blue it. Right now it's slathered with Eezox for corrosion resistance.
Dave, cool find. Congrats.
That's cool!
I hope you really enjoy it!
Congrats Dave. I take it you are quite familiar with the High-Power? And is the backstrap set up for a buttstock? I always wanted one but not as much as the previous owners. Be Well, RZ.
Same question. Looks like it's "in the white."

Hah. I was right. Should look nice refinished.
RZ, this one is a MK II with no cut on the back strap for the stock. The rear sight is an after market adjustable. Yes, I am familiar with the HP. I removed the magazine safety and tore it down for a through cleaning before I slathered with with Eezox. I'll soot it to see how it does and then will get a new recoil spring. I'm thinking hard chrome or Matte Electroless Nickel Plating.
Very nice, don't see them much these days. Let us know how it shoots.
I'm considering that too.
Please Parkerize, I love Parkerized guns. Be Well, RZ.
I'm considering that too.
Please don't.
It came parkerized from the armory.
Bristoe, FYI it was blued.

okay. The Inglis Hi Powers I've seen were parkerized.
Just to give you an idea what it would look like with grey parkerizing.
