Did you buy that one in Nevada? It looks just like the one I recently replaced a firing pin on.

When I was 15 I traded my HS counselor (hell of a good guy) out of a Scout. I really wanted to like it but mine didn't shoot to the sights, so I swapped it for a 94 Winchester.

I like the stags on the one in the photo. I hope yours shoots great and you have a blast with it.

It's probably the most underrated pony out there. I haven't look in a few years, but you could pick up a decent one for $450. Some had interchangeable .22mag cylinders. The New Frontier Scout has adjustable sights. IMO, the New Frontier is the best single action .22 out there. The Single Sixes are good too, but not the real deal like a Colt.

I had a Buntline version that would not shoot to the adjustable sights...

Way to rub it in, one of the guns I wish I had never sold, mine was the buntline version with both cylinders, case hardened frame. Lost my job and had to let some stuff go. I run across them from time to time but the one like I had is pricey now.

I had the Frontier Scout Calf Commemorative. It was a gold plated gun, but I bought it to shoot, as I got it at a great price and didn't give a rip about the "California" part..

It was gold plated, but after I used it some, found the gold was very thin, on top of nickel. Polished the gold off, and it improved the appearance 100%. grin

That revolver was the most accurate .22 handgun I ever owned, with the possible exception of my S&W K frame .22lr.

The Colt had like a 6 1/2" bbl, and I could hit beer cans at 100 yards with it. smile

Had a Colt Ace that wasn't even in the same class of accuracy.

I believe the 22 New Frontier was part of the 3/4 scale Peacemaker 22 series from the 70s. And yes they are excellent 22 revolvers.
