Smith&Wesson M&P 40 Shield 2.0 - 4" Bbl.

For a 24.5 oz. loaded, 400 ft-lb cartridge EDC pistol...?

What's not to like?

I carried a .40 at work for years. M&P in uniform, and a Glock 27 in plainclothes. 180 grain HST in the pistol and you're set. Nice handgun!

Nice pistol.
Been carrying that pistol daily in 9mm for a few years now... absolutely love it. I've no use for a .40, bit it's a great gun.
I've got the m&p .40 le trade in. Dang good shooter, but hardly carry it due to size. Now that it's cold weather I will carry it more.
It's the only pistol that I've found the has any advantage (3 oz. lighter and a li'l thinner) over my Glock G36 .slimline .45 ACP.

Bein' familiar w/ the .40/180 gr. already in a 4" Bbl'ed pistol (Glock G23.4), it's close enough to the 3.8" Bbl'ed .45 ACP to expect the same relative performance/round.

Just don't know if there's enough overall difference to switch.

Shield Plus in 9mm for me. That config does nothing for me. Each to their own though and I don’t have any probs with the 40.
I love my Shield Plus 9 as well.
Shield Plus, BUT, now that they have come out with a M&P in 10mm, hold the fort baby.
