Saw the Forgotten Guns today on shooting the Alien. The barrel is really low in the action. Similar to the P210. Is there a more affordable handgun in 9MM that is constructed in that manner? I can't afford a SIG P210 or an Alien. I do want to try one out to see if it meets some personal criterion. Maybe I heard of an Israeli gun built that way? I think they were a polymer framed gun. Just fishing right now. The Alien handgun operation reminded me of the gas operation of the Desert Eagle. I like the idea of it. Be Well, RZ.
Years ago, when the CZ 75 9MM pistol first sold in the U.S. - I was very interested in the Sig 210 but couldn't find or afford one.
The storied Sig 210 9MM pistol was regarded as the ultimate 9MM pistol in quality, ergonomics, and accuracy.

When the CZ 75 first debuted - a lot of favorable comparisons were soon made between the Sig 210 and CZ 75. Both pistols
featured the slide running inside of the rails of the frame - instead of vice-versa, which may set the barrel somewhat lower.

My first CZ was a CZ 85 Combat 9mm pistol - Exactly like the CZ 75, but with ambidextrous controls on both sides of the pistol,
adjustable sights, and adjustable trigger. If you are looking for a quality 9MM pistol like a Sig 210 - check out CZ!

The CZ 75 is the CZ flagship model, but every other CZ pistol is of the same inherent design.

I did acquire a Sig 210 Target 9MM pistol and it is a dream come true. Later I picked up another CZ 85 which I took
out with some friends, shooting last fall - They were amazed with how well they shot, and the CZ pistol performed.

Below is a comparison of CZ 75B and Sig P210 Target:

The idea of needing a low bore is badly over-rated, badly.

Get a Beretta 92 & rock on unless you have exceptionally small hands.

The most affordable way to go would be Russian designed Strizh (Strike One) pistol. Last one I have seen listed for sale was about $1200, but that was kool green Zombie version with red splashes near the muzzle. They were made in Italy so they could be sold in US because Americans have some kind of stupid embargo in place designed to protect domestic gun manufacturers. I think they are now made in USA and marketed by different company.
The Alien is more in par with the Chiappa revolvers than a Beretta or Sig or CZ. The bore is at the bottom of the "slide." The recoil system is above the barrel. It's also heavier than it looks. I'm not paying $5k for it either; I'd consider it at half that. It is a very well made pistol and it is fast with little muzzle rise. Does it give the average shooter an advantage in speed shooting - absolutely. A good pro shooter will still be at 0.2ish seconds for splits whether it's a G34 or Alien.
I wouldn't have a Beretta 92 if you gave it to me. The son was an SOC Marine before they were called MARSOC. Said they were a gun that always went bang when he needed it but he HATED the gun. They should have stayed with a 1911A1. I have a reason to want what I asked for. Thanks to those who gave a real answer. Slobbek, don't go away angry just please go away. Be Well, RZ.
Does the SIG P365 have a low bore? RZ.
Ask TRH, he's all about low bore axis.
Have you looked at a CZ 75?
