Time to replace the factory sights on the G17 and G20. The 17 is my carry gun both in town and out on the trails and the 20 is a more dedicated backcountry gun with hardcast 200/+ grnr's so need to have better vis and higher front sight options possibly for both, shooting the heavier and faster cast boolits.

So what's your preference?

Thanks, SBTCO.
I’ve got two sets of Trijicon HD XR’s on irons only Glock 19’s.

On my MOS with a red dot, I wanted a plain black set and found 10-8 sights to be exactly what I wanted. They’d be worth a look.
Glock will install Ameriglow agents for $100. Best sights I’ve ever used.
Dawson fiber front, black rear. Since 99% of the time when I'm carrying a handgun is during daylight hours, fiber work best for me.
I have trijicon sights on mine
Thanks for the posts, anyone have experience with the Vickers sights ie U shaped rear slot? Better, worse than more typical rectangular?
The Trijicon HD XR sights have a U notch and I like them.
I haven't used their tritium that they call the straight eight, but in basic black, Heinie sights offer about as pretty a sight picture as I've seen. They offer at least 3 different front heights a well.

Most of mine have the same. I’ve also got a couple with the Heinie Straight Eights. And one with Meprolights
The Trijicon seem to be a bit brighter, though.

First thing I do when I get a new Glock is replace the sights. Hate those plastic ones they put on there.
And you couldn’t give me a set of those cheesy assed plastic fiber optic sights, either.

Yes.

Sights are always subjective based on the individual shooter needs and requirements. Eye sight, night shooting, and visual preferences, just to name a few.

I prefer ‘blacked out’ rear sights on my pistols. The Vicker’s sights are nice - I find seeing more of the ‘post’ helpful when shooting fast and transitioning to a different target.

The 10-8 sight I have has a U notch as well.
I like the dot-over-dot, "straight eight" type set up. The back blade is a plain black or serrated with a small tritium dot, U notch. The front has a white outline with a green tritium dot. A close second is no tritium in the rear, just a plain/serrated blade with U notch. Front has a white outline green tritium dot.

I have these installed on both my old G19, G30s, and the newer G45 for uniformity. Never found them lacking....yet.

Frog---OUT!
If you don't need some sort of night sight take a look at the reviews for the Ameriglo Defoors "Tactical" sights. I've had them on a couple of Glocks and like them a lot. They're plain black steel sights with a slightly narrower front sight that for my eyes give a very clear easy to obtain sight picture and are under $40. I've got no trouble hitting 50 yard torso sized targets with them pretty consistently.
