I took the John Linebaugh Bisley Vaquero .500 Linebaugh out to the range today. Lord have mercy that thing is fun! It packs a wallop for sure. I used a 435 gr WFNGC load from Grizzly Ammunition at about 950 fps. A nice light load. I took a couple videos of me shooting it but I thought I screwed it up and one video is in super fast motion and one was in slow motion but it has corrected itself. I ran out of ammo so couldn’t try it again. The fast one is funny as hell. The slow motion has some weird sounds. But here you go

That's impressive....I'm only on the 44 mag scale of manliness. You shot that 500 like a beast. Would like to see your target.
You were shooting fast in the first video
The groups were not that impressive. They were 4” groups at 50 yds. The .454 FA 83 I was shooting was making 1 1/2” groups out of a 7 1/2” barrel, Magnaported and 2x Leupold scope on it
The sign says "No Rapid Fire".
Congrats Pacecars, love the 50 cal revolvers.

If I could shoot that gun as fast as the sped up video I would be a verified bad ass😎
I think you sure handled it well
Hank
now that's impressive!
I saw a guy once that nearly split his head open firing one of those, you handled that like it was nothing special!
You were shooting a 435 gr. at 950 fps? Dang... full bore loads for that cartridge push 440's to 1300 fps! Not sure I would enjoy shooting many of those full bore loads. If I didn't crack my skull with the first shot and survived I'm not sure I would pull the hammer back for shot number two. smile
Super cool. Ironically that freight train load is only 872ft.lbs. However it's got a whopping power factor of 413.
A mild 44 mag with a 240grain at 1200fps is 767ft.lbs. with a wimpy seeming power factor of 288.

I might beg to differ.

4" at 50 yards, especially with such a heavy slug/recoiling handgun is certainly respectable.

LOTS of guys talk about their 1.5"-2" handgun groups, but in person they are much like unicorns and true blondes.
