Does anyone own a Taurus M44? I want the S&W 629 but won't buy one after the sellout. The only Ruger 44's I have fired are Blackhawks and they are not comfortable in my hand. Are these M44's strong and are they accurate? I plan to mount a bushnell holosight on whatever I get as my steel sight days are fading. Any suggestions or comments? Rick

Yup had one but sold it to take the leap to a t/c.the gun would shoot good out to 75-100.I think that you will be happy if you dont expect it to be work of art,not to knock the taurus though.Ive had a colt,dan wesson,s&w and the tuarus and they all shot comparable to each other.YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY WITH YOUR M44.

Also dont let anyone tell you they are junk.Every gun maker has had a P.O.S. come off of their production line at one time or another.Just my .02 cents anyhow<P> <P><BR>
