okay the 41 is a great shooting gun. I've shot more than a few perfect targets.
But I still think it will do better with custom stocks and real match ammo.
Any recomendations?
I prefer to buy American grips, there is one guy in California.
But the Germans have some fantastic work for sale! And rake in the Marks for them!

I would like a grip custom fit to my hand.
Any ideas?
Any suggestions on match ammo?
My old 41 wore Herrett's Grips. Made in the USA, made to the shape of your hand. You have to trace the outline of your hand on paper and send it to them and they use the dimensions to make your grips. If I remember correctly, I specified that mine were to be left unfinished - no varnish or oil on the grips. I felt the unfinished texture of the grip gave me a better and more repeatable feel, but that's just me. When the day comes that I get another 41, I'll be ordering another set of Herrett's grips!

As for match ammo, back in the day I tried most everything. I soon realized that if it said "CCI" on the box, I was going to get an accurate round. I haven't tried them, but I've read a lot of good things about Wolf match .22 ammo.
Google Randall Fung custom grips

Presumably Fung is the "guy in California" ColsPaul mentioned. http://funggrip.jnb.com/

Here's a set on my 41:

I've been extremely pleased with them. The fit and finish is exceptional. I did have a problem with a frame pin falling out. The stock grips covered it but the Fungs left it exposed and allowed it to work its way out on occasion. I staked it with a punch and have had no more trouble with it.
Oh, and WRT ammunition, accuracy testing revealed a particular type of RWS match ammo to be technically best for my gun - but any decent (i.e. not bulk pack) stuff outshoots me by a wide margin. So I just use CCI Standard Velocity as it's reliable, clean, accurate enough, and fairly inexpensive.
Thanks Robert ( and all )
Yes Fung is the grip I have been looking at.
The Herrets look good, but they won't checker an adjustable stock. They leave them smooth.

My ammo expereinces are the same as your's.
Not tried Wolf yet. But I get decent results with plain old CCI blazer 50 rnd boxes ( and get them for $14 a brick )
Wolf Match Target is good stuff. It's actually made by RWS in Germany, and I've had good results with it. The price has gone up substantially since I last purchased it though, from $2.80/50 to between $4.50/50 and $6.00/50 depending upon source.
Nill Grips has grips for the 41. Spendy, yes, nice, too.
