Saw an ad at Cabelas for a Serb pistol, called the Zastava M88A in 9mm. It is supposedly a compact version of the ol' Tokarev TT. From what I had read of the old Yugo Tokarevs quality varied, not sure if it was because they were made in a communist country? The M88's are supposedly new, but Remington had quality issues buying rifles from the Serb factory a few years ago and offered a "Remington Serb" line of guns, which I think they stopped doing.

Anyone shoot one of these Zastava M88 pistols, are they good guns, will they hold up over time?
Haven't shot mine enough to know about long term, but I like it. Very accurate and feels like a baby 1911. Feeding has been reliable and it has handled jacketed and cast handloads. I bought mine to be a cheap sidearm for when I am hiking through the woods. I no longer feel safe going out unarmed.

I was looking at the Zastava web site - and their whole line of pistols.
Some pretty interesting stuff - and I'm interested.

Thanks for posting.
