really don't want to have to ship this gun off to get it measured or anything like that if anyone knows anyone that has made these i'd love to have some info looking for a chest rig type

Uncle Mike makes a cheap nylon bandolier that works, but it's not very fancy. There's one other custom maker who claims to do chest rigs for the X frames but I can't remember who it is. Google is your friend for finding such things. I know back when I was in the X frame kick, sic, there wasn't many making a chest rig for the big Smith and fewer if it wore optics. Good luck.
