hi res pics of my old Colt

If it is infact a reblue, they left every edge very sharp and even left the area around the lettering raised ever so slightly. There are some areas where the grinding marks are seen, they are as pure as the slide sides in terms of gloss and depth of blue,the bore is a clean as a new gun today. The trigger is one most new pistols should strive to be like. There is not a buggered screw, and the grips are beautiful. The colt logo is the lightest of all markings, and it is plainly clear to my 40 year old eyes in any light.

All of those old Colts are the epitome of "old fashioned fit & finish"

Thanks for the kind words. I attempted to show every edge and bit of imperfection in the gun. These pics make it appear to be haggard, when anyone looks at it they are amazed by the condition of the blue. Were it not for sitting on that one side for so long, this would be a pristine example of a 1902. The mechanics are truly impressive given the lack of technology 100 years ago.

If I were you, I'd shoot it. If you get rid of it without shooting it you'll regret that. Just get you one box of .38 Auto and enjoy it for the experience. I'd shoot it, but that's just me.

I agree. One box, even if you intend to sell, won't hurt anything, and you know you want to.

I may give in to temptation......

Shoot it and enjoy the experience. I'm glad I've done so with my 1903 hammerless and 1920's era New Service in the past (read a few weeks back).
