Looking to get a Smith Shield in .45, but I'm a lefty. I used to have a first generation full size M&P in .45 and the magazine release was switchable to the other side. It looks like the Shield can do the same, but I haven't been able to verify it. Anyone tried to switch sides with the mag release on the Shield? I'm also open to suggestions for other small, concealable options in .45 that are suitable for a lefty.

The Shield magazine release is not reversible (The full and compact size are). I am also left-handed and think the Shield is a great choice.

Thanks for the reply. It bums me out that it isn't reversible. It's such a nice little gun that I hate to ignore it completely. Maybe I can get used to the release on the other side. 🤔
